Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Tamara N. Evans is a board-eligible Pediatric Dentist who provides compassionate dental care for infants, children, teens, and patients with special healthcare needs. Known for her calm, gentle voice, Dr. Evans strives to make every dental visit—especially a child’s first—fun, positive, and stress-free. She values open communication and takes pride in listening to families’ questions and concerns to create personalized treatment plans and effective home care routines.

One of the ways Dr. Evans helps ease anxiety is through song. During dental exams and even tooth extractions, she often sings to her patients to soften the mood and provide reassurance. Her lighthearted, Taylor Swift–inspired tunes have become a favorite among patients and parents alike, helping transform stressful moments into surprisingly peaceful experiences. Combined with her positive encouragement and gentle approach, many families find their visits both refreshing and confidence-building.

Beyond treating the patient in the chair, Dr. Evans is deeply invested in each child’s future. She takes time to encourage teens and high school students to explore pathways toward their personal, academic, and healthcare goals, while inspiring elementary-age children to participate in the arts—both musical and visual—as they enter middle school. Above all, Dr. Evans reminds every child that they can be and do whatever they set their minds to.

With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Evans’ commitment, dedication, and love for pediatric dentistry is evident in every interaction. Her passion extends beyond oral health to nurturing confidence, creativity, and hope for the future of the children and families she serves. A North Carolina native, Dr. Evans spent the first decade of her career serving families in Greensboro and surrounding rural communities. Inspired by her own experience receiving care at a public health clinic while a student at North Carolina A&T State University, she is deeply committed to giving back and improving access to dental care for underserved populations. Dr. Evans earned her dental degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN, and completed her pediatric dentistry residency at Howard University in Washington, DC.

Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, attending church, and watching Hallmark Christmas movies—any time of year.
